COVID-19 GYM UPDATE
Hello gym family!
Along with the rest of humanity, deep breath, we have unique changes right now. We have strict guidelines on access to the gym and we will continue to update you as they change.
Here’s what’s next...
First…
we will apply a credit on your account for paying your April dues while we were closed. This will be applied to May or June depending on how quickly we can process them. Many of you offered to pay despite the circumstances, which gave us a protective cushion we were very grateful to have. Either way, thank you, everyone for your support during this unprecedented time.
Second…
welcome Kathy Murphy to the manager’s desk! Kathy has been and will continue to be an integral part of our business as we work together through this unprecedented time. She is available to help you with concerns about day-to-day operations here.
Third…
we will not open as "normal" until the state allows it. In the meantime, we are allowing access by appointment for those who are ready, under strict guidelines that abide by social distancing and extreme caution. Our decision to return is not meant to be dismissive of risk, but to allow those of you who are at low risk and willing to protect yourself and others here to return slowly.
The new guidelines moving forward are as follows:
Appointments are required and limited to 60 minutes.
Only 3 people at a time, in separate rooms, in our 5500 square feet to allow social distance.
To book non-training workouts, email Kathy: manager@thevillagesgym.com (or you can include your request in your reply regarding dues)
Mask and gloves required when you arrive, workout gloves are acceptable. Staff is also abiding by this.
No sweaty cardio, but a light warm up is allowed.
As an extra layer of protection, we’ve applied EnviroShield Endure, a fogging product that resists viruses and bacteria for up to 5 months.
All equipment is sanitized by you, trainers and our staff after each session.
All doors are propped open, with the exception of the stalls in the restrooms.
Gym is divided into 3 indoor areas, Pilates Room, Main Room, East Room. Only one person training per area at any given time, exception if you share a household.
